Edsby, a leading K-12 education software provider, has been selected by the Ministry of Education, Science, and Youth of Georgia to spearhead the implementation of a national learning management system (LMS). This initiative aims to enhance the educational experience for the country’s 600,000 K-12 students as part of the Georgian government’s broader educational reforms under the I2Q (Innovations in Education for Quality Learning) initiative, which is supported by the World Bank.

Edsby was awarded the contract following an extensive international Quality-Based Selection (QBS) process. The Canadian company will collaborate with local Georgian technology integrator, Orient Logic, to deploy the system, which is expected to modernize the country’s education sector through advanced digital learning tools.

The new LMS will be piloted in Georgian public schools beginning next year, with the goal of providing teachers, students, and parents a flexible, scalable platform that supports a range of educational methods, including synchronous, asynchronous, and activity-based learning. The platform is designed to align with Georgia’s localized and interactive curriculum, promoting personalized learning pathways and fostering a more inclusive education system.

“We are excited to work with the Georgian Ministry of Education, Science, and Youth and our partners at Orient Logic on this transformative project,” said John Myers, CEO of Edsby. “The I2Q initiative reflects our shared vision of empowering students and educators with cutting-edge learning technologies. Our platform will help create a more engaging and flexible learning environment that fosters lifelong learning.”

Orient Logic CEO Alexander Bagratia echoed this sentiment, saying, “This partnership with Edsby marks a significant step forward for Georgian education. With this national LMS, we’re providing our educators, students, and families with world-class tools that support personalized learning and improve educational outcomes across the country.”

Georgia’s I2Q project is a comprehensive, six-year initiative focused on improving the quality of teaching and learning in schools. The Edsby LMS will be a key component in achieving the project’s goals of raising educational standards, enhancing inclusion, and ensuring equitable access to quality education for all Georgian students.

When fully deployed, Georgia’s national LMS will be comparable in scope to Edsby’s existing national implementation in New Zealand, which serves 800,000 K-12 students, their parents, and educators.

Edsby, which has been at the forefront of K-12 education technology since 2010, has won over 80 industry awards for its innovative platform. The company’s focus on fostering communication and collaboration among students, teachers, and families has made it a global leader in educational software.
