Good morning. Nvidia reports second-quarter earnings tomorrow after the bell, and the release has taken on a weight far beyond one company's balance sheet. Wall Street is looking for $2.09 a share on $92.28 billion in revenue, but the real question investors are asking is whether the broader AI infrastructure buildout still justifies the valuations built on top of it. Nvidia is now worth more than $5 trillion and is the single largest stock in the S&P 500, which means its results can swing the index almost on their own. Shares snapped a seven-session losing streak on Tuesday, the stock's longest skid since 2022, and remain about 10% below their all-time high even after that bounce. Whatever the numbers say, they'll be read less as a report card on Nvidia and more as a verdict on how much further the AI trade has to run. Below: today's five recent stories across markets, AI, policy, and security.
